It is with great sadness and regret I have to inform everyone associated with Quickies patch and Insane Heat that Trevor Morton (Quickie) passed away on Sunday afternoon 13/11/11 after a three week illness.

 

You may not know this but Trevor spent the best part of the last two years in bed after suffering from very bad pressure sores from sitting in his wheelchair. Three weeks ago he had a bit of a turn and was rushed into hospital where they intubated him and put him on a ventilator.

 

It seems that sometime during that first few minutes/hours Trevor may have suffered a stroke and just never woke up or recovered. Trevor was a fighter and fought bravely to the end. He lasted more than 36 hours after the doctors took him off the ventilator. They said he would not last the hour at 23:00 on Friday night 11/11/11.

 

All his family and friends were with him and the nurses and doctors said they had never seen as many people stay for so long for one person. The sheer weight of love and hope that surrounded him gave him the strength to carry on the fight. The sun was shining on Trevor just before the end, he loved the sun. My name is Chris, Trevor Peter Morton is and always will be my best friend and I shall miss him dearly.
